Running lights all work!

Well, there's that one with a bad bulb and the license plate light needs better grounding, but running, brake and turn lights all work! After an arduous struggle with positive grounding issues and flasher relay units we finally discovered that the switch for the turn signals was intermittently faulty. After a little disassembly, it turns out that the 45 year old switch's internal contacts appear to be fouled. I think that with a little cleaning they can be repaired, in the mean time a new switch has done the trick. It doesn't fit as well, and I don't care for how it looks, but it was only four dollars instead of 35$. As it turns out, two frustrating trips and some swearing latter, Kregans does not carry anything that works. Who knew that a SPDT switch was so rare? Even Radio Shack was a bit of a stretch and I had to settle on using the *one and only* DPDT switch that they had in the store.
